IB Security Assistant Exam Pattern 2024
The IB Security Assistant and MTS exam is conducted in three phases: Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III. Tier-I is an online objective-type exam that is conducted for 100 marks. The exam duration is 1 hour.

IB Security Assistant Tier 2 Exam
The candidates who qualify in the Tier-1 exam will have to appear for the Tier-2 Exam. The tier-2 exam is divided into 2 parts.
- Part 1 (Common for all candidates)– This will include the translation of a passage of 500 words from the local language/dialect to English and vice versa. This will be an offline descriptive test and will consist of 40 marks and the duration of the exam will be 1 hour.
- Part 2 (Only for SA/Exe.)– Spoken ability. It will be assessed at the time of the Tier-III exam (Interview/ Personality test).
- The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying mark in Tier 2 is 20 out of 50 for SA/Exe.
IB Security Assistant Tier 3 (Interview)
The candidates who qualify in Tier 1 & Tier 2 exams will have to go through an interview round which will be conducted by the Intelligence Bureau. This will be for 50 marks. This will be the final stage of the selection process and candidates qualifying in this stage will be selected based on marks obtained.
