RBI Grade B 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

The candidate must be a citizen of India or a citizen of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who has been permanently settled in India before January 1, 1962, or a person of Indian origin who is resident in Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka Came from. Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam intending to reside permanently in India.

Educational Qualifications

Stream Qualifications
General Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or equivalent grade in aggregate for all semesters/years, as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th standard examinations.
DEPR – Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute. OR,

– PGDM/ MBA Finance with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute. OR,

– Master’s Degree in Economics in any sub-category with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute.

DSIM – Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade (aggregate of all semesters/years). OR,

– Master’s Degree in Mathematics with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputed Institute. OR,

– M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with minimum 55% marks (aggregate of all semesters/years). OR,

– Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.

Experience Requirement for RBI Grade B 2024

To become an RBI Grade B Officer, you don’t need to have any prior experience in any field. It means that fresh-out-of-college candidates can also appear for the exam given that they have passed the Graduation degree before the RBI notification.
